Lulu and Halloween

What would Halloween be without Lulu dressing up? She was a pumpkin this year, and an adorable one at that. What do you think?

The Kitchen is Finished (almost)

The kitchen is done. Well... almost done. Despite the fact that we had our kitchen warming party on October 21, 2006 and introduced friends and family to the "finished kitchen," there is still a tiny bit of work to do. I'd like to replace the lighting fixture over the kitchen table with something a bit more in line with the character of the room. The wobbly white ceiling fan just doesn't cut it any more. And there is a tiny bit of tilework still to be done above the stove. Nobody can see the half-row of tile that is missing, but it will make me feel better when it's done.
